Job Description

Project Manager (Construction / Electrical)

A client is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager to support construction and electrical projects from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for project coordination, document control, cost tracking, and communication between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Field Support

  • Support project managers with daily project coordination and documentation.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Create and maintain project documentation including RFIs, change orders, cost codes, and tracking logs.

Change Orders & Cost Tracking

  • Track post-estimation change orders, including approvals and documentation.
  • Maintain cost code tracking and provide weekly reports to field teams.
  • Monitor labor, rental, and material cost impacts and notify project managers of variances.

Submittals Management

  • Create and maintain submittal logs per GC requirements.
  • Compile, submit, and track documentation through approval.
  • Coordinate follow-ups with vendors and organize submittals in Procore and shared drives.

Procore Administration

  • Set up new projects in Procore, including document uploads and plan organization.

Material Tracking

  • Monitor delivery schedules, lead times, and shipping logistics.
  • Communicate material status and delivery issues with field teams and vendors.
  • Coordinate deliveries with subcontractors and shop personnel.
  • Draft and issue delay notifications as needed.

Closeout & Warranty

  • Prepare closeout logs according to GC requirements.
  • Collect and submit final documentation including as-builts, warranties, and O&M manuals.
  • Manage warranty claims and coordinate resolutions.

Safety & Compliance

  • Track and archive tailgate meetings, safety documentation, and PJHAs.
  • Ensure consistent completion of required field documentation.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in construction or electrical project coordination or project administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Procore and document control systems.
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals, cost tracking, and closeout processes.
  • Familiarity with Spectrum, Bluebeam, or similar software preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical construction terminology and workflows preferred.
